A conversation with a potential client started all this. Client wanted a broker management system but didn’t know where to start. Following conversation will help you understand what a membership system is; especially for a small business finance company.
Client:
Question: Do you offer a website design that has a membership component to it as well? We’re a membership based finance company and only finance our small business members! So we need that added section on our website!
Upon discussing further with the client following information came in to light.
If I bought your website for my mortgage company, we do have a partner program for new brokers, however, do you have a way for brokers to input the loan applications on my website and keep them all separate, so I can know who submitted an application?
Next, do you offer a way for me to link the brokers to my website?
The reason I’m asking is that this will make it easier for me to keep track of all my brokers on my website system to train and help them grow. I would like to give each broker their own web page so they feel like it’s a personal website, but still make them part of the team to keep track of everyone. Can you do something like that for us?
Our answer explaining the solution:
Yes, this feature is there, you can create unlimited pages for brokers. They would have address/URL like yourdomainname.com/brokername.
This needs a complex comprehensive system with three parts:
- Website application that stores brokers/referrer details.
- An area for brokers to see applications submitted by them.
- An admin area for you to manage brokers and their submitted applications.
This feature/module (broker management system) is not part of our websites but can be developed. Since this would be a custom module, we’ll need more details to present you with a realistic time and cost estimate.
Client responded:
I was simply asking is there a way for me to have a main or primary website and have my broker work on my main website when they input their loan request?
To better understand my question. The main website would have a section where all brokers can log into the main website and then input their loan proposal or loan request all into the main site.
When I say, link all brokers to the main website, I’m only asking if there’s a way to track all my brokers using the one main website for each broker. You mentioned that this is a custom site and can be done. And I’m only asking can it all be done through my main website that’s all?
We:
Unfortunately, the primary/main website does not have this feature/secure broker area to perform the tasks you mentioned.
But these features to develop a broker management system can be added by developing some custom modules as part of the main website. Please allow me to explain with some examples:
- Let’s say your domain/primary website URL is https://bing.com (sample URL).
- It would have online applications on the main website https://dummydomainname.com/apply-online (you can see the list of online application it would have here )
- There would be secure area on the main website for brokers: https://dummydomainname.com/broker-control-panel
- In order to access this area, every broker will need to create a broker account. An online form will be available for this. Additionally, you would be able to create broker accounts from within the master admin panel.
- A broker with an account with you/your website will be able to login to https://dummydomainname.com/broker-control-panel
- When a logged in broker submits an online application such as this one (https://ireadysites.com/demos/CM-Premium/COM977/quick-loan-request) it would appear under that broker’s name and you’ll know who submitted the loan request.
So in a nutshell, it will all be on your main website, but there would be three areas/sections to create a full-fledged broker management system:
- Primary website with pages and online application accessible to everyone.
- Broker Control Panel, only accessible to registered brokers
- Master Admin Area/Website Management Center, only accessible to you. And this is where you would be able to see, who submitted the loan request. That is; by a normal visitor or a registered broker.
Client further responded with this:
Thank you for your reply and the information on how the new website works for me, my brokers, and my customers.
I am ready to pay for the website now and will need to know what is my next step to get everything started, as you described in your last email to me about the design for brokers the other day. Please let me know the cost of the website and how long it will take to get everything done.
Lastly, I read on your website that I can make changes to my website if I need to add my information, if this is indeed the case, can you please confirm how I can make my customized edits and add my pages through your portal or using your website builder?
Looking forward to hearing from you about the cost of my new co-broker-friendly website for other brokers to sign up with our company!
Our response:
There are two modules of your new co-broker-friendly website:
- Regular pre-designed website that we offer to all our clients.
- These websites take six to eight business hours to setup.
- And come with monthly or annual recurring plans.
- For the monthly payment plan, at the time of signup it’s; setup $58 + first month fee $39 = $97. And then $39 every month.
- Annual payment plan is $390 per year.
- Custom Modules: This would have a one time cost. Development team will send you complete break down of this module later today:
- What exactly would be developed under this module
- How this new system will work.
- How long it will take to develop this module/set of modules.
- And what would be the cost.
And the final broker management system solution from us was:
Broker Management System Main Area: You would be able to:
- add new brokers and create links for them. Broker signup form fields would be name, email, phone, address, broker’s comments/additional information area, admin comments section.
- edit/update existing broker details
- suspend, unsuspend and permanently delete brokers.
- see how many visitors are sent by all the brokers (daily, monthly, yearly or during any given period.)
- check how many visitors turned into leads (from all brokers ).
- see how many visitors are sent by a broker (daily, monthly, yearly or during any given period.)
- see how many visitors turned into leads (from a specific broker ).
Broker Panel: Brokers would be able to:
- create an account for themselves (using a form on the main website).
- edit/update their details ( name, email, phone, address, broker’s comments/additional information area) .
- deactivate, re-activate and permanently close their account themselves.
- see how many visitors they sent (daily, monthly, yearly or during any given period)
- see how many of their visitors turned into leads .
